Lexar is back at NAB 2025 with some flashy new gear—literally. After debuting the world’s first stainless steel SD cards last year, they’ve now revealed gold ones.

These new Lexar Armor Gold UHS-II SDXC cards are built like tanks but aimed at serious creators. They come in sizes from 64GB all the way up to 1TB, and they're faster than the previously announced Silver Pro version, with write speeds up to 205 MB/s (compared to the Silver’s 160 MB/s max). Both top out at 280 MB/s read speeds, and both support V60video class for 4K and 6K video. They’re also IP68-rated for water and dust resistance, apparently 37 times stronger than regular SD cards, and made without the usual little “ribs” or write-protect switch.

The Gold cards will be sold through Lexar’s usual stores, while the Silver Pros are Amazon-only. The 128GB Gold will run you $69, and the 256GB is $119—slightly more expensive than the Silver version. Gold cards ship in a couple of weeks, and Silver ones should hit Amazon later this spring.
